A new ATENA+ video highlights the project’s key contributions to Europe’s leadership in advanced and sustainable battery innovation.

ATENA+ has released a new video highlighting its main contributions to Europe’s battery sector.

Through science-industry collaboration, the project is strengthening Europe’s leadership in advanced battery innovation and supporting a competitive and sustainable energy storage industry. The video showcases ATENA+’s work on safe, low-carbon technologies for stationary storage and transport decarbonisation, with performance validated from advanced materials up to 80 Ah cells and 2.5 kWh modules.

The project also integrates safety, recycling and circularity across the value chain, aiming to reduce storage costs towards €0.05 per kWh per cycle and lower dependency on critical raw materials through sodium-based chemistries and bio-based carbon.
