ATENA+ presented at SBS-7 in Berlin

ATENA+ took part in SBS-7 in Berlin, presenting the project’s work on sodium-ion battery technologies and the cell prototype produced this summer.

The ATENA+ project was presented at SBS-7, the 7th International Symposium on Solid-State Batteries, held in Berlin from 14 to 16 September.

ATENA+ took part in the event through its poster presentation, giving visitors the opportunity to learn more about the project and its work on sodium-ion battery technologies. Partners from CIDETEC Energy Storage, SAFT, StoraEnso, E-Lyte and ZSW attended the symposium and contributed to discussions with the battery research community.

The programme also included a presentation by Sylvie Herreyre (SAFT, France), who gave a talk on 16 September entitled “Safety characterization of Sodium-Ion technologies: initial insight”. The presentation provided an opportunity to share insights from ATENA+ with an audience working on the development and characterisation of next-generation battery technologies.

Visitors to the event could also see and handle the PN80E cell prototype, produced this summer as part of the ATENA+ project. Bringing the prototype to the symposium provided a tangible example of the work being carried out within the project.

The participation at SBS-7 offered ATENA+ an opportunity to present its ongoing work and engage with researchers and industry stakeholders working on solid-state and sodium-ion battery technologies.
